This near wordless documentary from Hüseyin Karabey provides unprecedented access into the creative process of one of modern dance's most compelling minds. A Breath with Pina Bausch was inspired by the city of Istanbul, the cosmopolitan centre that the Byzantine, Roman and the Ottoman Empires all called home. While pairs of performers dance seemingly improvised sketches, Bausch writes in her notebooks and smokes. Interspersed with the rehearsal scenes is the actual stage work, a performance full of stunningly poetic images that are only possible in dance. The film is a fitting tribute to the twin worlds of rehearsing and performing that make up the lives of dancers and choreographers.

Once upon a time, Arife, who made a living by telling stories at weddings in rural Anatolia, and her husband Civan, who entertained people by dancing in the same settings, were walking through mountainous terrain to attend a wedding they had been invited to when Civan suddenly suffered a heart attack. Witnessing her husband's death in a cave, Arife finds herself helpless when the three bandits she had been telling stories about arrive at the cave, and she hides inside. The bandits see Civan's lifeless body. Startled by Arife's sudden appearance, the bandits draw their weapons to kill her. However, Arife begins to narrate the lives of the three bandits in a mysterious and dramatic style with her eloquence and unconventional manner of speaking, causing the bandits to lower their guns and listen to Arife's stories with curiosity until dawn. The bandits' sorrows, troubles, and secrets are now fully revealed. The bandits must now make a decision.

Fadil, one of the fiercest mobsters of Turkey, one day falls in love with his Indian yoga instructor, Gundhi. Once Gundhi is kidnapped from Fadil's mansion Fadil sets out to India with his trustworthy friend Hulusi. He plans to rescue Gundhi and win her heart but this is a tough job as Gundhi's mother is one of the fiercest mobsters of India. With the help of a Turkish municipality worker in Mumbai, Fadil and Hulusi get entangled in numerous adventures as they try to reach Gundhi. Laughter ensues once Fadil's parents arrive in town. Will Fadil be able to save Gundhi and have his happy ending?
